Perfect Party and Anytime Snack
These English Muffin Mini Pizzas are one of all time favorite snacks! My mother used to make these all the time when we got home from school or when we were just playing outside. They’re super quick and easy to make! My wife and I now make them for our kids all the time as well.
I usually have the Super Bowl party at my house and this is a mainstay! Every year (besides my wife’s Buffalo wings and Best Homemade Blue Cheese Dressing) our friends have come to expect these at the game.
Kids Love Pizza – Get Them Involved!
I have hardly met a child that didn’t love pizza! For that matter, I think I’ve hardly anyone that didn’t love pizza. But kids especially. My kids love to make their own pizza, and they love to cook, just like their dad. So this is a great way to get them involved in cooking. They love to make their favorite pizza – Hawaiian! We get some sliced ham and pineapple tidbits and let them get creative. Other times we’ll just help them cut up a bunch of veggies like bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, and others. We’ll also cook up some sausage and put that out with some pepperoni, ham, and some shredded. Once it’s all set up, we let them go crazy!
This is also great as a “Make Your Own Pizza” kid party idea. It’ll be one of those that all the kids will remember for life! And it is low cost and low mess so you and the parents can have fun, too!
English Muffin Mini Pizzas – So Versatile!
The pictures show pepperoni pizza and a vegetable pizza. However, just like with any other pizza, the possibilities for these English Muffin Mini Pizzas is pretty much limitless. What is your favorite? What are you favorite toppings?
Here are a few that we have tried:
- White Pizza
- Buffalo Chicken
- Pepperoni and Sausage
- Hawaiian Pizza – ham and pineapple
- Meat Lovers – pepperoni, sausage, ham, and bacon
- Tomato and Onion
- Pepperoni and Jalapeño
- Margarita Pizza – sliced tomato, fresh mozzarella, and fresh basil
What Tomato Sauce Should You Use?
When we’ve made pizza, we’ve bought what is labeled as “Pizza Sauce.” It was horrible! Our favorite to use is my own Best Homemade Tomato Sauce. I know, you’re probably saying I’m biased. That may be so, but it is what my family and friends have told me they like the best. I’d recommend giving it a try.
If you don’t have the time to make of batch of that, I use Bertolli Tomato & Basil. I’m pretty much never out of my tomato sauce, but if I’m in a pinch, that is my jarred favorite.

Cooking Instructions for English Muffin Mini Pizzas
- Turn on the oven to 450ºF.
- Grab a sheet pan and line it with aluminum foil.
- Cut the English muffins in half. I know they are easy to tare in half, but that usually leaves a smaller top part an a larger bottom part. Cutting them will give you more even pieces. Place the muffin halves on the sheet pan being sure to space them evenly.
- Using a spoon, put a small amount of tomato sauce on each muffin half. Use the back of the spoon to spread the sauce, making sure the entire surface is covered.
- Sprinkle some mozzarella cheese on each half. Top each half with some of your favorite toppings.
Give the a try and let me know hoe you liked them!
