Classic Meatloaf with Cheddar Cheese

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1 pound Ground Pork
  • 1 medium Onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic, smashed
  • ½ Cup Milk
  • 1 Cup Seasoned Breadcrumbs
  • 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 ½ Tablespoons Fresh Parsley, chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 ½ teaspoons Dried Basil
  • 1 ½ teaspoons Dried Oregano
  • 1 ½ teaspoons Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Seasoned Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Cup Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375° F.

  2. In a medium mixing bowl, thoroughly mix the ground beef and ground pork.

  3. Coarsely chop the onion and garlic and purée them in a food processor.

  4. To the meat, add the onion/garlic puree, milk, bread crumbs, parsley, oregano, basil, seasoned salt, garlic powder, black pepper, Worcestershire sauce, olive oil, and egg.

  5. Fold in the sharp cheddar cheese.

  6. Mold the meat into a loaf and place in a loaf pan. Bake for 1 to 1 ½ hours.
